150th Anniversary – Upcoming Events
During the year of 2025 we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of Wyandotte Boat Club. The club has already held the successful WBC Sesquicentennial Regatta as part of our summer competitive rowing programs.
The “main event” of our celebrations is the weekend of September 6th and 7th, when WBC will host two events:
- Saturday September 6th, 5pm: WBC 150th Anniversary Bash
- Sunday September 7th, 9am: WBC Reunion Row

WBC 150th Anniversary Bash
On Saturday September 6th, we invite all our members and their guests to gather and celebrate WBC’s history with a dinner, dancing, entertainment, and historical displays to view.
Dinner information:
- Doors open at 5pm, dinner served at 6pm
- Food is a Polish-style buffet
- Ticket includes 2 drink tickets
- Music is by DJ Audial Entertainment
- Attire is dressy casual
- Attendees must be 21 years or older
- Event flyer
Dinner ticket purchase notes:
- Online Ticket purchase for the dinner is now closed.
- Tickets are $50 each. Maximum online order is 8 tickets (size of a table)
- Ticket purchaser must be a current WBC member in good standing
- All attendee names must be provided using the online registration form – for name tags
- Physical printed tickets will be available in 24 hours for pickup at the WBC upstairs bar (during the next available time the bar is open, Tuesday – Friday, lounge opens at 4:30pm). Physical printed tickets will also be available on September 6th when you arrive for the event.
Reunion Row
On Sunday September 7th 9-11am, all former high school and club rowers, coxies, coaches, and supporters are welcome to relive your rowing days with an anniversary reunion row!
Looking for former WBC, Roosevelt, Riverview, Carlson, Grosse Ile, Southgate, Crestwood, Mt Carmel, Ecorse, or any experienced rowers to join us on the water for a row.
Here is your opportunity to “Catch a seat” and row on the Detroit River in an eight seat shell or ride along in a coach’s boat. Coaches and coxies furnished. We’ll provide the equipment and the water – you bring the desire to hop back in a shell – “Power 10’s” will be optional.

Reunion Row details:
- Check-in starts at 9 am.
- Please enter the club using the river-side center doors.
- Rowers – please wear appropriate rowing attire, e.g.: exercise shorts or tights, t-shirt. Workout gear is not provided by WBC.
- Boats will be organized and launched starting at 9 am.
Minimum donation is $20 for preregistration and $25 the morning of the row. Includes a row in an eight and 1st drink upstairs with an available Bloody Mary / Mimosa bar, bagels, and pastries. So reach out to your old crew members and come on down for some fun and memories.
