The WBC held it’s annual Board of Director’s election on Tuesday, August 27th. The twelve board members serve three year terms overseeing the operations and finances of the club. Each year four of the seats are open for election.
The results of the election were as follows: Members elected to three year terms starting October 1st were incumbents Don Ukrainec, Gary Ellison, and Alison Duley, along with new board member Karen Allen.
The Board of Directors also elected officers for the upcoming year starting October 1st. President-Don Ukrainec, Vice President-Tom Dudus, Treasurer-Brent Masserant, Assistant Treasurer-Fred Mekolon, Membership Secretary-Chris Puhl, Recording Secretary-Adam Wlodkowski, and Corresponding Secretary-Mary Beth Jakubowski.

The 2024 Wy-Hi Regatta was raced on Saturday, May 4th. It was a great day of racing along the Detroit River in BASF Waterfront Park.

The WBC would like to thank the City of Wyandotte, volunteers, and race officials for making this event run so smoothly. Next year’s event is tentatively scheduled for May, 3, 2025.
